I am an African.
Proudly so. Yet, as you will see in the Editorial/Documentary pages, sometimes also sadly so.
Nevertheless, in most parts of this vast tract of land it is damn near impossible to take a bad landscape photograph.
The light and moods of Africa at virtually any time of the day make for great photography.
So our mother continent has her compensations...
So good is the light that there is no need for tricks of filtration to capture the colours - just careful positioning, a warm white blance setting and metering is usually all that is required.
Other parts of the world also make for good landscapes though.
